ACI Marina Trogir - The Island Town and its Marina

Location & Approach
The sailor who comes to Trogir does so in search of fun and excitement, fun because the city has a famous nightlife and excitement because there are plenty of things to do and see in the very well preserved medieval town of Trogir. The marina can be seen on the northern side of Ciovo island, between the Trogir bridge and Cape Cubrijan, facing the town.

The coordinates for the marina entrance are 43°30,8’ N 16°15,2’ E. The fact that the marina lies in a channel between the mainland and an island which is connected by a bridge, makes the approach somewhat difficult for skippers, especially since the water depth in the channel north of the town is just 2m and in some places it’s less than that.

Also keep in mind that the drawbridge that connects the island to the Croatian mainland is 2.4m high and doesn’t open anymore, which means that boats exceeding that height have to approach from the west, between Ciovo island and Celice reef. To aid with the navigation, there is a green lighthouse on Cape Cuprijan which can also be used as a waypoint. The entrance to the marina is marked by flashing green and red lights.

Infrastructure & Ambience
Trogir marina can be considered by all means a small marina, since it has just 162 berths on the water and 35 dry berths on land. The berths can handle boats with a maximum draft of 4.5m. However, all berths on the water are equipped with water and electricity supply, as well as some other facilities which the marina offers to guests. Among these there are access to a reception office, completely renewed toilets and showers, a fitness center, a grocery shop, a repair shop parking lot and an exchange office.

The repair shop offers to customers the possibility to perform certain repair jobs on their boat using their 10t crane and slipway. Mechanical repairs, electrical and fiberglass work can be done here. A gas station is located at the western side of the marina.

Trogir is a lovely place to visit, and since it’s located in the center of Dalmatia, it provides many adventurers with easy access to other places along the coast. Though small, the town has lots of entertainment venues and a long history which is illustrated by the many medieval and ancient remains. Also, the Trogir Riviera is a wonderful place for sailors, with its 20 island and islets.

Another bonus for those who wish to come to Trogir is the fact that the city is close to Split international airport (3km away) and there are frequent bus lines making regular runs to other cities along the coast and in the heart of Croatia, as well as other European cities.
