Marina Tucepi - Your Base in Central Dalmatia

The marina serves as the focal point of the small town of Tucepi, 55km south of Split, on a very picturesque part of the Croatian coast in central Dalmatia, which is often overlooked by those sailors who stick mainly to the larger city marinas.

Location and Approach
The marina is located in the very heart of the small resort of Tucepi. It’s easy to spot since it lies right next to the town’s harbor. For those few that know f this base’s existence it’s a common fact that Tucepi is a great place to start your vacation. Its central position on the Dalmatian coast affords many traveling possibilities.

The approach to the marina needs to be made with care to the visibility of the local landmarks. Skipper should guide themselves using the modern bell-tower which is located above the town and which is visible from out at sea.

The entry point to the marina is situated to the southeast. The only hazards when approaching the entry point is the shoal off the Dracevac point. Upon entry, keep in mind that the breakwater is marked by red lights.

Infrastructure & Ambience
The marina is not very large when compared to others on the Croatian coast, just 200 berths plus an additional 30 dry berths. The advantage is that all of the berths are equipped with modern boxes that contain power and water supply. You’ll find that this is one of the few marinas in this part of the country that is open throughout the year.

The facilities you can find on the marina grounds include a reception office, telephone, showers and toilets, parking lot, a restaurant and some shops. There is also a slipway present within the marina for those boats that need repairs.

Another advantage of being located so close to the city center is that the marina is surrounded by many restaurants and bars where you can spend your evenings on shore. For those that get tired of spending time on the boat, this is a good thing, as some establishments are even within walking distance.

The ambience is that typical of small coastal settlements in yacht charter Croatia, with fewer people that the neighboring cities of Makarska and Split, but with great gravel beaches nonetheless. There are also some good hotels in the region and a couple of noteworthy landmarks such as the Renaissance church St. Mihovil as well as several Baroque summer homes that are well preserved.
