Marina Alboran – In the Center of Palma's Waterfront

The Marina Alboran is the charter base of the popular charter provider of the same name as well as many other famous charter companies. Its central situation as well as good infrastructure make this marina attractive for charter crews.

Location & Approach
Another small marina on the famous Paseo Maritimo down in ")%}’s waterfront, Marina Alboran is a viable alternative to the crowded big marinas during the tourist season in the Balearics. It’s one of the last marinas built on this famous strip of land that attracts so many visitors during the long summer days and nights.

Its position is easy to spot from the open water if you keep your eyes open for the Tryp Bellver Hotel. The layout of the Alboran marina includes two T-shaped breakwaters that add further protection from the sea currents but also from the wake of large ships entering the harbor.

The entry to the marina is easy to spot and does not pose any dangers outside the fact that commercial traffic is pretty intense here so you might want to pay extra attention to incoming boats. Even at night, the harbor is easy to spot since all breakwaters and piers are clearly marked with flashing lights. However, if you have problems with your approach, make sure you contact the marina office for further information. The check-in languages include English, Spanish, German, Italian and French.

Infrastructure & Ambience
Just minutes away from the old part of Palma, a major tourist attraction, the Alboran marina has 200 newly built berths that offer quality services for boats up to 20m in length. On the piers inside the marina there are things like sanitary facilities (toilets and hot water showers), a security control system and even a mobile fuelling station that will save you the hassle of sailing all the way to the harbor for a refill.

On the marina grounds or in the immediate neighborhood you can find a supermarket that is perfect for provisioning your boat, parking, ice and cold drinks dispensers as well as a hoard of bars and clubs that will surely entertain you until the early hours of the morning. In fact, this part of the waterfront is famous for its clubs that attract tourists from all over Europe with their party atmosphere.

Shopping and eating out venues are also abundant in the old town region, not to mention a variety of sights and attractions, which makes the Alboran marina fill up quick with boats and reservations during the first days of the tourist season. Our advice would be to book your berth early if you plan on mooring your boat within walking distance of the Paseo Maritimo in Palma.
